| On Tuesday 20th July, Tim, along with 10 others from Melton Mowbray visited HMS Quorn at her moorings in Portsmouth. He presented the Captain and the crew with some Long Clawson Stilton as a thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable day. |

The second year of the British Pie Awards was held on Wednesday 19th May 2010
Tim was invited to be one of the judges and spent an enjoyable day tasting many, many pies, as his stomach line is now showing!
The judging and the award ceremony was held in St Mary's church in Melton Mowbray, with a total of over 700 entries in the different categories.
The pie is one of the icons of British cuisine. Savoury or sweet, the British eat millions of them every year. These Awards are a national celebration of British Pies in all their varieties.

Steve Leeson won the best hand-raised pork pie category, along with two sausage categories, at the recent Melton Fatstock Show, held at Melton Mowbray Market in December 2009, which featured the cream of local food producers.
